  • Larissa Anderson is entering her 4th season as the head coach of theHofstraSoftball program. In her 3 seasons at the helm, Anderson has gone 89-59-1.
  • Prior to being named head coach, Anderson spent 13 seasons on the Hofstra staff as an assistant, including the last 10 as the associate head coach. She is just the 6th head coach in program history since 1980 and took over for Bill Edwards.
  • In 2017, Anderson led Hofstra back to the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) championship game, as the Pride posted its 28th consecutive winning season. Under Anderson’s guidance, freshman pitcher Sarah Cornell was named to the NFCA All-Northeast Region 1st Team, All-CAA 2nd Team and All-Rookie Team.
  • In her 1st season as head coach in 2015, Anderson led Hofstra to the CAA championship and an NCAA tournament berth. She and her staff were named the NFCA Northeast Region Coaching Staff of the Year after Hofstra posted a collective 2.05 ERA.
  • Anderson has helped lead Hofstra to 11 NCAA Tournament appearances and 11 Colonial Athletic Association championships. As associate head coach, she helped Hofstra win 24 NCAA Tournament games, with 6 appearances in regional finals.
  • Under Anderson’s tutelage, Hofstra hurlers have won 9 CAA Pitcher of the Year awards in 10 seasons, including 4 consecutive wins by Olivia Galati from 2010 to 2013. Galati was twice named an NFCA All-America and was the program’s first-ever first-team pick in 2012 after leading Division I with a 0.95 ERA and a 34-7 record. Anderson helped guide Galati to a NCAA-best 40 wins and 22 shutouts in 2013.
